Scott started in 1987 part time doing yard work, moving boats, zinging, cleaning, rigging, and service. As his interest in service became more apparent, he became full time in 1990. Being an apprentice and going to school for outboards taught him a great deal about the old generation of motors and all the new technology. Scott still goes to school every year for updates in Mercury and BRP. In 2007 Scott received the highest award for service, the title “Master Mechanic” was given to him by BRP. We are fortunate to have such a knowledgeable mechanic on our crew, and he really makes the service department as efficient as can be.

FUNNIEST/MOST EMBARASSING MOMENT
at Johnson’s Boats & Motors:

While working on a motor at the outside test tank, my shoelace got caught on a control cable and SPOOOSH! In the test tank I went. Yes...it was April and cold...and yes the motor was running. I was okay, very wet, but okay.
